Make Decisions by Embracing Wisdom from the Noosphere
Environmental Impact Assessment
Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is the assessment of the environmental consequences of a plan, policy, program, or actual projects prior to the decision, taking into account inter-related socio-economic, cultural, and human health impacts.
Leveraging on its solid research foundation and knowledge base, ZA assists stakeholders in accessing potential environmental consequences in their decisions and to justify those decisions based on scientific principles and up-to-date intelligence. Moreover, we also evaluate and design mitigation plans to address the environmental concerns.
Setting Environmental Standards
Having a legitimate environmental standard is of paramount importance to a country or a project. A sound standard ensures that the waste and wastewater is neither undertreated nor overtreated. It should not compromise environmental safety, but may accommodate considerations of cost and technological feasibility in determining the safety margin. The rationales behind the set testing approach and control limits must be scientifically sound.
ZA team’s expertise in setting environmental standard has been evolved over 10 years through dedicated R&D and industrial projects. We have capabilities in waste sampling and characterization, leaching studies, human health risk assessment, ecotoxicity study, and pollutant transport modelling, equipping us with powerful tools to assist policy makers.
